New X-arcade Product
I have had two emails already asking what would need to be changed with my cabinet plans to handle X-arcade's new TankStick. I have contacted the kind folks at X-gaming for the base dimensions and am waiting for them to get the measurements up on their site. Then I will post what mods would be required to incorporate the controller into my cabinet design. This will show up on the News page, followed by a new Project posting.

New X-arcade Product
Finally, X-gaming has released a controller with a trackball included.  A number of you have asked me about if it were possible to add a trackball into an existing X-arcade: well, here is a solution.  This is for those of you who do not (at least to begin with) want or are able to build their own custom controller.  The retail price is $199.  Give it a look.  Here is my affiliate link.

More Cabinet Plans²  Pages Added
The first seven pages are up.  Two more are set to be added before the next build day, which is scheduled for next weekend.  It will be a short day so it might be a while before anymore wholesale additions are made.  That said, the plan is to have a completely finished cabinet in time for Christmas.  If you get a chance to read through the pages, drop me a note to let me know what you think.  Am I missing anything, are there not enough pictures, is the wording okay?  I'd like to here from you.

Cabinet Plans²  Pages Added
I have begun to add pages for the second set of cabinet plans.  There are five pages so far, with many, many more to come.  Please note that these pages will continue to be worked on, so there might be some missing or incomplete information to begin with.  I just wanted to get the sampling out there to see what kind of feedback I might get.  Be gentle.

Ryan's Cabinet Added to the Visitor page
Ryan wrote me a while back to show off his handiwork.  I've finally added a couple pictures to the Visitor's page.  As you can tell, he is a bit of a Hawkeye's fan.  I really like how the front-end carries the theme perfectly (check it out on his site or the Visitor's page).  He followed my plans nearly to the letter but made a few design changes, one of which was to create a slot in the cabinet to receive the glass bezel.  I hope he adds some pictures or a brief write-up as to exactly how he did it as it was quite innovative.

Greg R's Cabinet Added
Greg has emailed me several times over the last three months, and his project is finally almost complete (95% done).  I hate to break it to him that it will never truly be complete- that's be nature of this hobby.  Anyway, he has created a beautiful cabinet with a lot of extras.  I first mentioned his project on 6/25 (scroll down the page a bit).  The cabinet includes:

-Two 12 inch Purple Neon subwoofer surrounds.
-Two 8 inch Purple Neon sticks on the top rear of the cab.
-10 purple/blue High Intensity LED's on the underside of the cab.
-6 purple/blue High Intensity LED's backlighting the control panel marquee.
 -Custom MAMEWah Layouts
 -Collapsable Cup Holders
 -2 player joysticks/7 buttons per player/spinner/trackball
 -Pentium 2.2Ghz PC/786MB Ram/120GB HD/2.1 Surround Speakers

His site contains a lot of progress shots.  The site artwork is also worth singling out as extremely nice.  More shots are on the Visitor's page, as well as his site.
